TAKING UP SPACE

is an empowering dance workshop designed to energise your body, mind and soul. In a very supportive environment, you'll learn to embrace your body moving in big and wonderful ways.

You’ll be getting a fantastic workout in plus you’ll start to feel more and more powerful in your body. This workshop will be a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, and will leave you taking up space in the studio and beyond.

Whether you are completely new to dance and want to find a way to make it accessible and fun, or you’re a seasoned professional and want to reconnect to why you started dancing in the 1st place, we’ve got you.

This workshop is accessible to all bodies and abilities, you do not need to be flexible or have any sense of rhythm. If you’re keen to dance to some great tunes and have a lot of fun together, this is for you!

*There’s no special prep for this workshop. Just bring a water bottle & comfy clothing that you can move in. We’ll be in either bare feet or socks.

The main thing is the connection that I feel with myself. It is sooo much stronger. I feel one with my body again, just like before. This is my body, and I feel freer, more powerful. It’s bizarre to realize how much dancing is a part of me. How much I’ve missed it. I always thought I could only dance choreographies and that I don’t look good when I let my body move on its own. It’s nonsense. I don’t have to think about it. I simply follow where my body wants to go. And I feel the music. I feel my body. I feel my emotions. I feel happier!

Meet our teacher and dancer Liza

After training as a professional dancer at top academies in the UK and Netherlands, I now use those skills to share the love and joy of dancing with others.

Dancing allows me to connect to myself, to feel my feelings, to express them, to give them a place so I can show up as my best self with focus and purpose.

Others might also know me as the co-founder of the Female Film Club where I bring women together through mindset, skill and movement to create their life’s work.
