AW Run club

Is this for me?

Do you hate running?

Wish you could love it but you’ve tried and think it’s just not for you?

Don’t think you’ve got a ‘runners body’?

Are you worried about injuries?

Do you cringe at the idea of working out in public?

We’ve heard it all & we’ve been there too!

Or

Maybe you’re already running, you enjoy it, you have a marathon or 2 under your belt and you now want to learn the tools to avoid injuries, improve your running form, build strength & be a part of a supportive women led community?

Whichever sounds like you, the AW Run Club has got you covered!

We focus on providing you with a running strcuture so you can see tangible results. We focus on running form, strength training, and drills, all in a positive and motivating environment. You’ll be given a programme to work on between your runs with us to ensure you have all the support and structure you need to make the most out of your runs with us. Plus, our coaches are on hand at all times during your run so you can ask as many questions as you like!

We offer TWO groups to suit all fitness levels:

👟 Jog and Walk or 🏃🏽‍♀️ Jog and Run

lead by Sadie

You choose!

Led by an experienced coach, our sessions are designed to support women of all abilities—from those taking their first steps into running to seasoned marathoners.

Each Run Club block will consist of 6 sessions, once per week and will have a particular focus to work on during the 6 weeks. You can join on a drop in basis, just for one run, or book into a 6 session block.

I’ve never enjoyed running, until now. I’m so grateful to the team for making running accessible for me and actually enjoyable!

When and Where

Our second 6 week block will start on January 5th, 2025. The Run Club will be meeting for two drop in sessions on December 22nd and December 29th, 2024.

Your 6 week block starts from your chosen date of your first run, so even if you can’t join us on the 10th, you can still run with us on any of the following dates.

The same goes for drop in, if you can’t make our first run on the 5th, you can use it for a date of your choice.

Each run will start in the same location - the entrance of the Markfield Park Cafe.

Each session will last 55 minutes, and will start at 9.45am and finish at 10.40am.

Please make sure to arrive at the meeting point at 9.35am

After the run, you have the option to join the group to have a coffee together at Markfield Park Cafe!

Sadie: “If you'd have told me ten years ago that I'd be running ultra marathons today, I'd have said...what on earth is an ultra marathon?! My personal running journey hasn't always been smooth but it has been epic: emotional, thrilling and revolutionary. I can't lie that running has changed my life. It started with short, slow treadmill plods in my university gym 16 years ago - mainly to distract me from revision, and slowly but surely it gave me confidence, self-assurance, stress relief and crucially, time to myself.

But the moment that running took on the most meaning was when I signed up to my first half-marathon challenge to raise money for Parkinson's UK - a charity close to my heart. From then on, I had the bug. I have done lots of fund-raising and nothing comes close to the high of running for something that means so much. I even signed myself to break a record at the London marathon dressed as a neuron! I will try my hand at almost any distance and terrain but my all time favourite has to be my local Parkrun.

I run for fun, for fitness, with friends and now...for work! What a dream. Join me and change your life too!”
