Strength, Stretch, Soothe
Our newest class course can be booked below 👇 You will be enrolled onto all sessions as this is a four week class, meeting on Sundays at 12.30pm at the studio.
Fusing elements of bodyweight strength exercises combined with free body movement, exploratory stretch movement and self massage, this course will provide you with a complete exploration of movement across your whole body.
This course has 3 elements to it:
STRENGTH The opportunity to explore free movement of your body, exploring the muscles and spaces perhaps you didn’t know were there or hadn’t connected to in this way before. During this practice, you’ll be encouraged to listen to your body & how you’re feeling to become more confident in catering to your body's needs. By being totally present in this way with your body, you are starting to build your mindfulness muscles and connection to self.
STRETCH A time to explore the areas in the body that are feeling tight, tense and hard, whether this is physical, emotional or both. You will be guided to develop flexibility and mobility in a new way, guided by your body's intuition to release tension & any buried emotion that needs to be moved out.
SOOTHE Carved out time to explore safe self-touch, with techniques, tips and tools for you to create your own practice. We will be using Grapefruit essential oil to induce deep relaxation in the body and in the shared space. Grapefruit oil’s emotional profile is all about supporting us with our self love, in particular it supports us with our body image and our relationship with our body. We hope to share these techniques with you, so you can explore them further as part of your wellness practice to allow you to deeply connect and nourish your body when you feel called to.
If you would like to join us, please either wear shorts to your session ready for the massage soothe portion at the end of the session, or wear a pair of shorts under your clothes.
