Sadie - COach & teacher

“Moving for joy is something I discovered as an adult, having been exercise-ambivalent as a child and teen. I started running and weight training at university (many moons ago) to try and counteract exam stress and it was so effective, I have never looked back!

I have been inspired by people around me to push myself further and further, both in the gym and outside on my feet - first to a half marathon, then a full marathon and finally to my first ultra last year! Alongside running, I have seen the positive effect of resistance training on my posture and easing the aches and pains of everyday life. And, of course, I love feeling STRONG!

Having done various jobs, I always find the greatest sense of purpose and inner peace when I am moving my body and wanted to share this feeling and make coaching others my full-time role and mission in life. I feel particular empathy with those who feel alienated by mainstream diet and fitness culture, and those with a busy desk job that doesn't allow for regular movement yet still saps physical and mental energy. Many friends going through pregnancy and the post-partum period have struggled to find suitable fitness support, so after completing my level 3 PT qualification, I took a pre- and postnatal course which deepened my interest and passion in this area.

I am ready to help you (re-)ignite your positive relationship with exercise, whether it is to build confidence, relieve stress, improve sporting performance, or simply find joy and peace with your body and mind.”
