felicity - COACH
“Hey, I’m Felicity, a holistic and integrated coach who draws on practices informed by psychology, positive behaviour support, somatics, mindfulness, and my own experiences with neurodivergence, dance and parkour.
Having worked with disabled and neurodivergent adults and children, together with my own natural ‘analytical’ and ‘nurturer’ profile, I attend closely to nuances in behaviour, language, expression, that may be signalling something of deeper difficulty or tension coming up. I aim to highlight these instances in the interest of the client, believing these factors are inherently an integrated reality of their experience training. I strive to do so collaboratively and compassionately, self-empowering the individual in understanding their needs.
My background in professional dance resulted in burnout and trauma related to lacking neurodivergent understanding, thus unmet needs. My core-beliefs and internal scripts drove compensatory behaviour through physical training in an exhaustive attempt to invalidate them. Re-entering training, I was heavily dissociated. I engaged with Esprit Concrete’s parkour therapy methodology, which has shaped my coaching approach today towards person-centred values, positive behaviour support, and movement training as a means to understand and empower oneself, and strengthen our resilience in an aligned way.
Outside of training, I enjoy making art and holding space for my mind, usually while listening to music in some nature! I weave my interest in creativity and sensory landscapes into tools in my coaching practice. You can expect some visualisation strategies, creative workarounds, and check-ins based on your relation to external factors.”
*While my practice is psychologically and somatically informed, and integrates emotional and body awareness practices, I am not a licensed therapist nor counsellor nor somatic coach. If you ever feel the need for mental health or somatic support, I can help guide you toward finding the right resources.
